Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer with 6 to 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-scale applications using .NET and Java technologies within the Healthcare Provider domain. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, translating complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise applications using .NET and Java, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for the healthcare provider domain.
• Translate provider business requirements into technical architectures and solution designs that enhance operational efficiency and support digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, development standards, best practices, and adherence to secure software development methodologies.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable applications, integrations, and production-ready releases.
• Mentor and guide development teams on advanced .NET and Java technologies, application architecture, and provider domain workflows.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client office in Hartford, CT. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in .NET and Java development, including designing and delivering large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of Healthcare Provider Domain processes such as provider enrollment, credentialing, provider management, and claims support.
• Experience with application architecture, object-oriented design principles, secure coding practices, and scalable solution development.
• Proficiency in relational databases, SQL development, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working in a hybrid Agile environment, collaborating effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $ 55350 to $ 82000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
