Automation Engineer

An established technology business is looking for a technical specialist to join the team and support the development of production-related IT landscapes. This role focuses on enhancing automation levels and optimizing software environments for high-end manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will ensure the seamless integration of production systems and the development of robust, high-availability software solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Driving manufacturing automation to increase efficiency in high-end production environments

• Integrating production equipment into the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system

• Designing and maintaining robust software solutions for 24/7 operational environments

• Managing internal software development projects and overseeing source code responsibility

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary engineering teams and external partners

What we're looking for

• Degree in Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical qualification

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming such as C#, Java, or Python and web technologies

• Experience with SECS/GEM equipment communication and SEMI standards

• Knowledge of relational databases like Oracle or MS-SQL and CI/CD tools like Git or Jenkins

• Fluency in German and English with experience in agile methodologies
