Senior PHP Full Stack Developer

Our partner is an international company providing technology-enabled solutions across the global supply chain. As part of its continued growth, the company is establishing a new engineering hub in Budapest to strengthen its in-house software development capabilities.

They are now looking for a Senior PHP Full Stack Developer to work on business-critical applications used across the organisation.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and enhance business applications across both the backend and frontend
• Build backend services and integrations using modern PHP and Symfony
• Create and improve user interfaces with Vue.js or React
• Deliver new functionality while supporting and modernising existing applications
• Analyse legacy code, refactor critical components and improve overall maintainability
• Design, develop and document REST APIs
• Connect applications with internal systems, third-party services, ERP platforms and data sources
• Investigate production issues, performance bottlenecks and integration failures
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, including query optimisation, migrations and large-volume data processing
• Improve automated test coverage and contribute to reliable release processes
• Participate in code reviews and help strengthen development standards
• Cooperate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure and Database teams
• Support technical investigations and root-cause analyses when complex production incidents occur
• Document application behaviour, integrations and technical decisions

What we are looking for

• At least 10 years of professional PHP development experience
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Symfony (key Symfony components and development principles)
• Practical full stack development experience
• Commercial experience with Vue.js or React
• Confident JavaScript or TypeScript skills
• Experience with Doctrine ORM and PostgreSQL
• Strong REST API development and integration skills
• Experience working with existing or legacy applications
• Familiarity with automated testing and code-quality practices
• Experience with Docker-based development environments
• Confident English communication skills in an international working environment
