About the role:

We are looking for an experienced .NET Development Engineer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining business-critical applications within the financial domain.

The project focuses on modernizing and simplifying an existing Finance application landscape, with applications supporting areas such as financial reporting, regulatory compliance, data management, reconciliations, internal controls and process automation.

You will work in an Agile environment and contribute throughout the entire development lifecycle, from understanding business requirements and solution design to implementation, integration, deployment and production support.

What you’ll be working on:

You will contribute to the development and modernization of in-house applications designed to improve operational efficiency, data quality and automation across Finance processes.

The role combines hands-on backend development with solution design, database work and system integrations. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Finance specialists and other engineering teams, translating business needs into scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions.

What you will do:

• Design, develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET
• Build scalable and secure backend services using ASP.NET Core
• Design and develop REST APIs and system integrations
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in solution design and architecture discussions
• Develop, maintain and optimize relational databases and SQL queries
• Work with Entity Framework for data access and persistence
• Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Ensure that solutions follow security, quality and governance standards
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring to the team:

Must have:

• 7+ years of experience in .NET development
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+
• Experience with ASP.NET Core
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience working with Oracle
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework
• Experience with Git
• Good understanding of software design principles and design patterns
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience or good understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of delivered solutions
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders
• Curiosity and willingness to understand business processes within the Finance domain
