Through advanced document management software and an extensive nationwide attorney network, BC Law offers title and mortgage-related document preparation in all 50 states.

Role Description This full-time Software Engineer role is a remote position. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support BC Law’s document management and real estate transaction platforms. Daily tasks include implementing back-end web services, integrating third-party APIs, optimizing system performance, and troubleshooting issues in production environments. The role involves collaborating closely with product, operations, and legal teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver secure, scalable features. The Software Engineer will also contribute to code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of development practices and tools.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles.
• Programming AI software to utilize large amounts of data
• Developing and deploying AI algorithms
• Collaborating with other team members to establish goals for AI processes
• Evaluating the effectiveness of AI
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building scalable applications.
• Experience with Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
• Ability to design, debug, and maintain production-grade systems in a collaborative environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of security best practices and data privacy considerations, ideally within financial or legal services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast pace work environment.
