Join a Brisbane based SaaS technology company as Software Engineer developing mission critical systems. The role focuses on building reliable, high-performance microservices, applications and APIs within an empowered agile product team. If you enjoy C# and .NET development, DevOps practices and solving meaningful engineering challenges.


Work with a multidisciplinary product development team. You will contribute to products used in complex, technology-driven environments, helping deliver secure, reliable and performant backend capabilities.


This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where developers, product managers, architects, testers and engineers work together using Scrum and contemporary product engineering practices. Your expertise will help shape technical solutions, improve delivery quality and support ongoing product outcomes.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop and maintain microservices, applications and APIs using C# and .NET
  • Contribute to sprint goals while maintaining product quality, reliability, security and performance
  • Build and support containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Work with AWS, Windows and Linux environments
  • Develop reliable architectures using technologies such as Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
  • Create and maintain automated tests using contemporary frameworks and techniques
  • Contribute to source control, peer reviews, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines
  • Document, communicate and present technical designs, findings and improvements


What You'll Need (Essential)

  • At least three years in a software product environment using Scrum and DevOps/SRE practices
  • Proven production experience developing microservices, components and APIs across multiple technologies
  • Recent hands-on C# and .NET development experience
  • Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes and public cloud services, including AWS
  • Experience working across Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and techniques, such as SpecFlow or comparable tools
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including query performance optimisation
  • Hands-on experience with source control, artefact repositories and CI/CD pipelines
  • Working knowledge of REST, gRPC, AMQP, JSON, XML and Protobuf
  • Experience using Redis, RabbitMQ or comparable technologies in reliable, performant architectures
