Full Stack Engineer

Senior Full Stack Engineer | Bristol | Hybrid

£55,000 - £65,000

SR2 are supporting a growing technology consultancy looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their team in Bristol. You’ll be working on bespoke software used to tackle complex, real-world challenges across the UK public sector. This is a hands-on engineering role with plenty of scope to take ownership, have a say in technical decisions and work on projects where the software being built has a genuine purpose.

What will you be doing?

• Building and improving full stack software using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React

• Designing solutions to interesting and often complex technical problems

• Developing and deploying applications within AWS and Azure

• Working with modern development, testing and automated deployment practices

• Getting involved beyond just coding, with input into technical design and how solutions are delivered

• Taking ownership of features and technical challenges from idea through to delivery

• Supporting other engineers and sharing knowledge across the team

• Collaborating with customers and internal teams to understand problems and turn them into effective technical solutions

What are we looking for?

• Strong commercial software engineering experience

• Hands-on experience with Java

• Front-end experience using TypeScript, JavaScript and React

• Experience with AWS and/or Azure

• An understanding of modern development and deployment practices

• The confidence to contribute ideas and take ownership of technical work

• Strong communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with others

Security Clearance - Due to the nature of the projects, you’ll need to be eligible to undertake UK security clearance. This means you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years.
