Für unser Java Development Team in Deutschland suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Termin einen Team Lead Java (m/w/d).

Neben der Tätigkeit an unserem Standort in Ebersberg bieten wir nach der Einarbeitung auch die Möglichkeit zum mobilen Arbeiten.

Job Beschreibung:

• Fachliche Leitung und Koordination eines internationalen Java-Entwicklungsteams
• Sicherstellung der termingerechten und budgetkonformen Lieferung hochwertiger Softwarelösungen
• Technischer Ansprechpartner für Lösungsarchitektur und Produktmanagement
• Planung, Bewertung und Priorisierung technischer Lösungen in Zusammenarbeit mit den Stakeholdern
• Definition und Durchsetzung technischer Richtlinien, Standards und Best Practices
• Unterstützung des Teams bei komplexen technischen Entscheidungen und der Fehlerbehebung
• Coaching und Mentoring von Teammitgliedern zur Weiterentwicklung ihrer technischen Fähigkeiten
• Förderung einer agilen Zusammenarbeit und Begleitng des Teams auf seinem Weg zu echter Agilität
• Förderung der Einführung von CI/CD-Pipelines und GitOps-Workflows (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD)
• Beitrag zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Architektur- und Entwicklungsprozesse
• Unterstützung sowohl der Backend- (Java/Spring Boot) als auch der Frontend-Entwicklung (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), wo dies erforderlich ist
• Identifizierung und Behebung technischer Risiken, Blockaden und Architekturprobleme
• Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Entwicklungs- und Plattformteams in einer Kubernetes-basierten Microservice-Landschaft
• Teilnahme an Kundengesprächen, technischen Präsentationen und Koordination mit externen Stakeholdern
• Präsentation der Ergebnisse des Teams in internen Demos, im Vertriebs-Support und in Integrationsgesprächen

Erforderliche Kenntnisse:

• Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
• Mehrjährige praktische Erfahrung in der Java-Entwicklung mit Schwerpunkt Spring Boot
• Fundierte Kenntnisse ereignisgesteuerter Microservice-Architekturen und asynchroner Kommunikationsmuster
• Praktische Erfahrung mit Kubernetes-basierten Deployments, Docker und Helm
• Erfahrung mit Apache Kafka in produktiven Umgebungen (z. B. Event-Streaming, Topic-Design, Message Contracts, Protobuf)
• Erfahrung in der Konzeption und Implementierung REST-basierter und optional gRPC-basierter APIs sowie in der Integration verteilter Systeme
• Gute Kenntnisse von CI/CD-Pipelines, vorzugsweise basierend auf GitLab CI/CD
• Vertrautheit mit GitOps-Konzepten und -Tools, idealerweise ArgoCD
• Praktische Erfahrung mit relationalen Datenbanken (vorzugsweise Oracle)
• Fundierte Frontend-Kenntnisse (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) und gängige Frameworks (z. B. Angular oder Vaadin)
• Erfahrung mit Tools zur Codequalität, statischer Codeanalyse und sicheren Codierungsprinzipien
• Vertrautheit mit agilen Entwicklungsmethoden und -tools (z. B. Scrum, Jira, Confluence)
• Fähigkeit, architektonische Entscheidungen zu überprüfen und zu hinterfragen; grundlegendes Verständnis von Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Erfahrung mit Observability-Stacks (z. B. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) ist von Vorteil
• Nachgewiesene Führungsqualitäten mit der Fähigkeit, internationale Teams zu leiten, zu motivieren und weiterzuentwickeln
• Ausgeprägtes Verantwortungsbewusstsein sowie Engagement für die Erzielung hochwertiger Ergebnisse
• Strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Denkweise mit einer praxisorientierten Mentalität
• Offenheit für Feedback und Engagement für kontinuierliche Verbesserung (persönlich und im Team)
• Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (in Wort und Schrift)
• Fachkenntnisse im Finanz- oder Kernbankensektor sind von Vorteil

For our Java Development Team in Germany, we are looking for a Team Lead Java (m/f/d).

Descripiton:

• Technical Management and coordination of an international Java development team
• Ensuring the timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Technical contact person for solution architecture and product management
• Planning, evaluation and prioritization of technical solutions in cooperation with stakeholders
• Defining and enforcing technical guidelines, standards and best practices
• Supporting the team in complex technical decisions and troubleshooting
• Coaching and mentoring team members to further develop their technical skills
• Promoting agile collaboration and accompanying the team on its path to true agility
• Promoting the introduction of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD)
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of architecture and development processes
• Supporting both backend (Java/Spring Boot) and frontend development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) where necessary
• Identifying and resolving technical risks, blockages and architecture issues
• Collaborating with other development and platform teams in a Kubernetes-based microservice landscape
• Participating in customer meetings, technical presentations and coordination with external stakeholders
• Presenting the team's results in internal demos, sales support and integration meetings

Required Skills:

• Degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification
• Several years of practical experience in Java development with a focus on Spring Boot
• In-depth knowledge of event-driven microservice architectures and asynchronous communication patterns
• Practical experience with Kubernetes-based deployments, Docker and Helm
• Experience with Apache Kafka in production environments (e.g. event streaming, topic design, message contracts, Protobuf)
• Experience in designing and implementing REST-based and optionally gRPC-based APIs as well as in integrating distributed systems
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably based on GitLab CI/CD
• Familiarity with GitOps concepts and tools, ideally ArgoCD
• Practical experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle)
• In-depth front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common frameworks (e.g. Angular or Vaadin)
• Experience with code quality tools, static code analysis and secure coding principles
• Familiarity with agile development methods and tools (e.g. Scrum, Jira, Confluence)
• Ability to review and question architectural decisions; basic understanding of domain-driven design (DDD)
• Experience with observability stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) is an advantage
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate and develop international teams
• Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and commitment to achieving high-quality results
• Structured and solution-oriented mindset with a practical mentality

• Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
• Expertise in the financial or core banking sector is an advantage.
