NetSuite Developer - Contract

Why this role
Help modernize a multi-brand, high-volume Ecommerce and light-manufacturing business on NetSuite. You'll own meaningful pieces of our Order-to-Cash and Fulfillment stack, create new SuiteScript solutions, and tune what already runs the business—all with direct access to decision-makers and a pragmatic, engineering-friendly culture.

What you'll do
● Design, develop, and maintain NetSuite customizations, primarily focusing on SuiteScript 2.1, while debugging, maintaining, and refactoring SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.0 as needed (User Event, Client, Suitelet, Map/Reduce, Scheduled, RESTlets, Workflows, Workflow Action Scripts, Advanced PDF Templates)
● Optimize Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes by developing custom reporting and saved searches, and by diagnosing and resolving operational errors and exceptions.
● Translate business requirements into clean, testable technical designs and deliverables
● Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and data-integrity issues in production
● Build and support integrations between NetSuite and internal/external systems using RESTlets, SuiteTalk (REST and SOAP), SFTP, and AWS event-driven services (EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Lambda).
● Prepare for and execute upgrades; ensure backward compatibility and minimal business disruption
● Contribute to NetSuite administration: roles/permissions, environments, releases, sandboxes, CSV imports, and data hygiene
● Document solutions and patterns; champion best practices for secure coding, change control, and versioning (SDF/Git)

● Partner with Operations, Finance, Ecommerce, Manufacturing & Warehouse teams to deliver measurable outcomes
● Support our manufacturing subsidiaries: work orders, WIP and routing, assembly builds, and the cost accuracy that depends on them.
● Work on third Party integrations using API, Bundles, or Plugins to connect to key partners to assist with ERP functions

What you'll bring
● Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
● 3+ years hands-on as a NetSuite Developer
● Strong command of SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.x, SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), workflows, Advanced PDF templates, saved searches, financial reports, and SuiteAnalytics
● Proven impact in O2C and Fulfillment within NetSuite for Ecommerce businesses
● Track record building and supporting third-party integrations
● Comfortable in Agile environments; thoughtful communicator who collaborates well and executes independently
● Meticulous problem solver with attention to detail and a bias for automation

Nice to have
● AWS - Lambda functions and event-driven architecture
● iPaaS experience (Celigo, MuleSoft)
● Exposure to NetSuite performance tuning, logging/monitoring strategies, and script governance
● NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteCloud Developer, ERP Consultant)
● Advanced Manufacturing module experience, plus accounting expertise - costing, WIP, inventory valuation, fixed assets
● RF Smart experience
