Unity Game Developer

Job Purpose

Design, document, develop, and test high-quality Unity games for WebGL and VR that meet user and client requirements. Translate creative and business needs into performant, cross-platform experiences; collaborate with designers, artists, QA/DevOps, and engage directly with clients to gather requirements, run demos, iterate, and deliver production-ready builds with clear technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web-based games using modern game engines and frameworks.
• Prototype and ship VR experiences from concept to demo and production.
• Own interaction design for XR (locomotion comfort, interaction affordances, haptics, audio spatialization, safety).
• Implement game mechanics, user interfaces, and interactive features.
• Integrate visual and audio assets into game environments.
• Optimize games for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Performance for standalone headsets; frame-budgeting, GPU/CPU profiling, foveation, fixed foveated rendering, draw-call/overdraw reduction, and memory limits.
• Debug, test, and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth gameplay.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and backend developers to deliver high-quality gaming experiences.
• Manage headset firmware/build deployment; maintain demo environments; coordinate with IT/DevOps.
• Stay updated on emerging web game technologies and industry trends.
• Maintain clear documentation of game features, code, and development processes.
• Engage clients and stakeholders to gather needs, align scope, run reviews, and present live demos for VIP clients.

Key Skills

• Proficiency in C# programming for Unity development.
• Experience with Unity Engine development workflows for web (WebGL) & VR (Unity XRI).
• Knowledge of responsive & spatial design, rendering performance, and optimization.
• WebGL & VR build expertise for build performance, size & compatibility management.
• VR Deployment & hardware setup using ADB, device profiling & demo environment readiness.
• Testing & QA for CPU/GPU profiling, memory & compatibility using Unity & browser tools.
