Role Description The Water Engineer – Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sofia. The person in this role will design and develop water-related infrastructure systems, including water supply, distribution networks, wastewater facilities, and pump stations. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical designs and drawings, performing hydraulic calculations, supporting feasibility studies, and contributing to project specifications and reports. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, participation in client meetings, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. The Water Engineer – Designer will also support sustainability-focused solutions that align with ENGINEERIK’s environmental and performance goals.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of water supply and waste water distribution system design.
• Practical understanding of pump stations, including selection, sizing, and layout.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, hydraulic tools).
• Familiarity with local and international standards and regulations for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and produce clear engineering reports and drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Professional experience in infrastructure projects and a commitment to sustainable engineering solutions are considered an advantage.
