Role Description The Senior MMIC Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Seoul, South Korea. This position is responsible for end-to-end MMIC design, including architecture definition, circuit design, simulation, layout oversight, and design validation for RF and microwave applications. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into MMIC specifications, performing design reviews, optimizing performance for power, efficiency, linearity, and reliability, and supporting prototype builds and testing. The engineer will analyze test data, refine designs, and document design processes and results, while working closely with manufacturing and product teams to ensure successful transition to production. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, contributing to technology roadmaps, and staying current with industry trends in GaN and MMIC design.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, including RF/microwave circuit design, MMIC architecture, and performance optimization.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering skills relevant to RF systems, semiconductor devices, and high-frequency design principles.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, including experience with MMIC design tools, EM simulation software, and layout verification.
• Candidates should possess Product Design skills, including translating customer and system requirements into robust MMIC solutions and supporting design-for-manufacturability.
• Relevant experience with GaN technologies, RF power amplifiers, and high-frequency measurement techniques (e.g., network analyzers, load-pull) is highly beneficial.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in RF/MMIC design.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative environment and communicate technical concepts clearly in English; Korean language skills are a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering complex RF designs into production.
