Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer (Designer) On-site

HEPCO is recruiting for a Senior Specialist, Mechanical Engineer (Designer) for a permanent-placement opportunity in Palm Bay, Florida.

This position is ideal for a senior-level mechanical designer with strong experience in aerospace or defense hardware, CAD-based design, engineering documentation, and hardware development within a controlled engineering environment.

• Lead mechanical design activities for complex hardware and subsystem development.
• Produce and refine CAD models, engineering drawings, and release-quality documentation.
• Support hardware development from concept through design maturation, prototype build, integration, and testing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to support product execution.
• Participate in formal design reviews and engineering change processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent applicable experience.
• Strong experience in mechanical design, 3D CAD modeling, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting design reviews, hardware release, and development-cycle execution.
• Background in aerospace, defense, space, or other high-reliability engineered products is strongly preferred.

Compensation Range: $88,500-$164,500 a year (Depending on experience and qualifications)
