Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview: Collaborate across departments to develop automotive body structures and components, ensuring designs meet customer expectations, vehicle performance, styling, manufacturing, and profitability requirements. Design structural and styled parts in the engine room, floor, and bumper areas using materials such as steel, aluminum, plastics, and composites, utilizing manufacturing processes like stamping, injection molding, extrusion, and casting. Research and develop new technologies for future vehicle applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage 3D models, layouts, and 2D drawings using CATIA (30%)
• Coordinate with internal teams, testing, styling, factories, and purchasing (30%)
• Lead part development activities with suppliers, setting design targets (20%)
• Support verification and develop countermeasures (10%)
• Estimate and manage part cost, weight, and investments (10%)

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 0–2 years relevant experience
• Proficiency in CATIA or similar CAD software
• Self-motivated, organized, effective communicator, able to multitask
