Edge Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Civil Engineer to become an integral member of our Civil Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in our Prairie du Sac, WI office. You will be working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry assisting our Civil team with the planning, design and construction of various site/land development and infrastructure projects throughout the upper mid-west.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform research and code review for assigned projects
• Perform field site reviews, project evaluations and obtain field information for project designs
• Develop site, grading and utility designs for various projects using CAD (Microstation) and Civil engineering design software
• Develop stormwater management and erosion control plans for projects including associated calculations and reports
• Assist with the development of plans, specifications and bid documents for various projects
• Assist with project bidding, contracting and construction project management
• Perform construction site QA/QC field visits to document work progression and review consistency with design documents
• Prepare professional written technical reports and documents for submission to reviewing authorities
• Effectively collaborate and correspond with clients, sub-consultants and others on project teams
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements surrounding the services provided to clients
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency in meeting client commitments and deadlines with an unwavering focus on quality

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University with emphasis in engineering
• 0-2 years experience in civil engineering
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• The ability to work collaboratively with other team members and clients
• Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Office Suite
• Prior CAD and/or Civil Design software experience
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, while consistently performing quality work and meeting deadlines is required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
