Expected Duration: 12+ months

Job Type: Full Time (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) – Contract- Onsite

Pay Range: $60-$66

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to design, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure. This role will work independently on well-defined network initiatives while collaborating closely with the broader engineering team.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed technical professional who can execute network installations and configurations with minimal supervision, communicate proactively, and maintain thorough technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
• Install and configure Cisco switches and routers.
• Support enterprise routing and switching environments.
• Troubleshoot network issues and identify problems at the appropriate OSI layer (Layers 1–3).
• Deploy and support network equipment at both the access and distribution layers.
• Participate in network technology implementations and infrastructure initiatives.
• Work independently on assigned technical projects while collaborating with engineering teams.
• Communicate project status, technical issues, and implementation activities effectively.
• Maintain accurate network and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams and other stakeholders as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience in Network Engineering.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI model, particularly Layers 1–3.
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco Catalyst C9000-series switches.
• Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco Catalyst C8000-series routers.
• Experience with enterprise routing and switching.
• Experience deploying network equipment at the access and distribution layers.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Experience with MEC (Multi-Chassis EtherChannel).
• Experience with SD-WAN deployment or administration.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.

Education

Candidates should meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of professional technical experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 4+ years of professional technical experience, OR
• 6+ years of professional technical experience without a degree.
