Steel Structural Engineer
Indexed description
Universal’s Engineering and Production procedures meet the most rigorous specifications. Universal is an AISC-certified fabrication shop for simple steel bridges. We meet California’s stringent highway specifications – remaining qualified under Caltrans Welded Steel for Sign Structure Audits as well as the Caltrans Steel Piling Audit. Universal is also qualified in and has sold products in more than 40 states and Canada.
Driven by innovation as a core principle, Universal has extended its manufacturing capabilities from welding and fabrication work to detailed engineering design and complex manufacturing. Universal designs and creates its own custom tooling and has a machine shop with the latest CNC equipment. We also have comprehensive, streamlined manufacturing processes – Induction Bending, Specialty Welding, Fabrication, Galvanizing, Conventional Paint Shop, Powder Coating, and Sand Blasting. With our experience, expertise, and “can-do” approach, there are very few, if any, projects in its product lines that Universal cannot produce.
