BIM Electrical Engineer

We're Hiring for Junior Level, Intermediate Level and Senior Level for this Role.

Experience required: Junior Level: 3-5 years of Experience, Intermediate Level: 5-10 years of Experience and for Senior Level: 10-15 years of Experience.

Job Purpose

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the technical development, analysis, and detailing of electrical engineering designs across complex multidisciplinary construction projects. The role will ensure that electrical solutions are technically sound, properly coordinated with other disciplines, and suitable for fabrication, installation, and construction execution. The position will combine electrical engineering expertise with BIM methodologies and digital engineering tools to support efficient project delivery, with a strong focus on quality, coordination, and constructability.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering Design

Develop, analyse, and detail electrical engineering solutions in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards, and engineering best practices.

Technical Analysis & Detailing

Interpret and technically analyse electrical engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and project documentation, ensuring that solutions are accurately detailed and suitable for construction.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

Coordinate electrical engineering solutions with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and other project disciplines, identifying and resolving interfaces, clashes, and technical inconsistencies.

BIM Integration

Apply BIM methodologies throughout the design and coordination process, contributing to the development and management of coordinated digital project information.

BIM Authoring

Use BIM authoring software to develop, update, and coordinate electrical engineering models and related project documentation.

Constructability & Fabrication Support

Ensure that electrical engineering solutions and design details consider fabrication, installation, routing, accessibility, and construction requirements, supporting efficient project execution.

Design Quality & Compliance

Review electrical engineering outputs to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and applicable standards.

Technical Documentation

Prepare and review electrical drawings, details, specifications, calculations, schedules, and other engineering deliverables required throughout the project lifecycle.

Project & Stakeholder Support

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project stakeholders, suppliers, and construction teams to resolve technical issues and support project delivery.

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the development and improvement of BIM workflows, digital engineering practices, design standards, and project delivery processes.

Project Support & Mobility

Provide engineering support across project stages and travel to project locations when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

Integrated Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

Professional experience in electrical engineering design and/or multidisciplinary construction projects is valued, particularly within complex engineering environments.

Industry Expertise

Experience in critical infrastructure facilities such as Data Centers, buildings, and/or modular and prefabrication construction is highly valued.

Engineering Expertise

Strong ability to interpret, analyse, develop, and detail electrical engineering designs, with a clear understanding of multidisciplinary coordination, fabrication, installation, and construction requirements.

BIM Knowledge

Good knowledge of BIM methodology and practical familiarity with BIM authoring software.

Digital Engineering

Strong interest in digitalization and the application of technology and BIM methodologies to improve engineering and construction processes.

Language Skills

Intermediate proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Technical Communication

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
