Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with the design or manufacturing of microprocessor- or microcontroller-based products required.
- Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment is ideal.
- Experience developing automated test systems is preferred but not required.
- Experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic products is strongly preferred.
- Experience with switching power supplies is preferred but not required.
- Ability to design, construct, and maintain test fixtures and test systems for microcontroller-based products.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits to the component level using schematics and common test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Working knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and a self-motivated approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to mentor operations and repair technicians.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Lead the setup of new production line equipment used to test, repair, and upgrade Musco products.
- Assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and test systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components, as needed.
- Troubleshoot product failures and perform root-cause analysis on Musco electronic products returned from customer facilities.
- Collect repair data and maintain accurate repair records and databases.
- Provide feedback to product development teams regarding design corrections, product enhancements, and recurring failure trends.
- Assist in developing and documenting troubleshooting and repair protocols.
- Perform repairs on returned devices in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operations and repair technicians.
