The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking an Experienced Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) programs. The successful candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Fuels system of the B-52, providing expertise in design and sustainment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment
- Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
- Perform detailed design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
- Prepare technical documents for mechanical components and systems
- Prepare proposal and new business development efforts
- Work with test program management for work estimation and intake process
- Delegate tasks to design team and provide supervision to junior engineers.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical system design
- Practical experience and knowledge of Fuels, Hydraulic Systems, or ECS.
- Experience with and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering schematics, and specifications
- Experience performing Mechanical System Design and Analysis
- 3+ years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA
- Experience producing technical reports and presentations
- Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
- Familiarity with engineering processes and methods
- Experience working with cross functional teams.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Experienced (Level 3): $96,050 – $129,950

Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
