- SolidWorks Integration: Utilize SolidWorks / SolidWorks Electrical to create 3D wire routing, electrical schematics, panel layouts, and enclosure designs, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical assemblies.
- Component Selection: Specify and select electrical components including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), transformers, circuit breakers, PLCs, sensors, and connectors capable of withstanding harsh oilfield environments.
- Standard Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs comply with relevant industry standards such as NEC, IEEE, IEC, API, and ATEX/IECEx for hazardous locations.
- Documentation: Generate comprehensive Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and technical specifications for manufacturing and field operations teams.
- Testing & Commissioning: Collaborate with prototype and manufacturing teams to support the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems.
What You will Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, specifically within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Domain Expertise: Proven track record working with Oil & Gas systems (e.g., Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP), Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP), Rod Lift, or Variable Speed Drives).
