Mechanical Design Engineer

Role Overview: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design automotive body structures and components that meet customer expectations while balancing performance, styling, manufacturability, and cost considerations. Responsibilities include creating and managing 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA, coordinating with internal departments and suppliers, leading part development activities, and supporting verification processes. The role involves researching new technologies for future vehicle applications and managing part cost, weight, and investment throughout development.

Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CATIA or similar CAD software, strong organization skills, self-motivation, multitasking ability, and effective communication are essential.

Working Conditions: Primarily office-based with some interaction in test labs, fabrication, and manufacturing environments. Flexibility for overtime and limited domestic or international travel may be required.
