To strengthen our development team, we are looking for an experienced

Hardware Development Engineer (m/f/d).

Your Mission

You develop hardware solutions that our customers can rely on in safety-critical applications. From the initial concept through prototyping and testing to successful certification, you support the entire development process of our hardware platforms.

Your goal: create reliable and future-proof hardware platforms, drive technological innovation, and help shape the next generation of our diagnostic and protection systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of our embedded hardware solutions:

  • Develop and optimize hardware for industrial and safety-critical applications
  • Build prototypes and perform functional, verification, and validation testing
  • Define test systems and create suitable test environments for hardware and software components
  • Support certification and product approval processes while ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Hardware and Software Development, IoT Solutions, Cyber Security, and Customer Support
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute innovative ideas to the evolution of our hardware platforms
  • Document development and test results in both German and English
  • Actively contribute to shaping the future hardware strategy of our company

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable technical discipline
  • Several years of experience in the development of electronic assemblies and systems
  • Good knowledge of Linux-based systems
  • Programming experience in C/C++
  • Experience in testing, verification, and validation of hardware components
  • Structured and analytical working style with a strong quality mindset
  • Good written and spoken English skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ATEX and IECEx certifications according to IEC 60079
  • Knowledge of functional safety according to IEC 61508
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security concepts
