Hardware Engineer (PCB) – Baden-Württemberg – Up to €75,000 (d / m / w)

Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated multi-layer PCB layouts for FPGA-based and embedded electronic systems deployed in demanding professional technology environments
• Integrate and route high-speed communication interfaces, including memory buses, high-speed serial links, and peripheral connections
• Incorporate EMC, ESD, and reliability considerations throughout the design lifecycle
• Establish board stack configurations, impedance-controlled routing strategies, and power distribution schemes for advanced PCB designs
• Conduct simulations to analyze signal and power behavior, ensuring stable operation of high-speed interfaces
• Refine PCB layouts to enhance manufacturability, product robustness, and efficiency in large-scale production
• Collaborate with manufacturing specialists to align designs with practical production requirements and ensure manufacturability and test readiness
• Work in close partnership with other Hardware and Embedded teams to align hardware layout with system architecture and functional needs
• Support the validation department in board bring-up and debugging activities, with some affinity to manufacturing

Requirements

• Obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar
• 3+ years of professional experience in PCB design, including routing, testing, signal/power integrity, and commissioning
• Experience in high-speed, multi-layer PCB design for Embedded platforms and FPGAs
• Tools: Allegro
• Interfaces: DDR, USB, SerDes, PCIe, etc.
• Fluency in English is mandatory
