- Develop products from conceptualization to launch
- Collaborates and consults with Test, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineers in support of new product development
- Partner with Sales, Applications, and Marketing to create solutions for diverse OEM markets.
- Maintain a high level of interaction with customers, sales managers, and application engineers
- Leads or assists in efforts to resolve product performance issues
- Adheres to all safety regulations
- Demonstrates support of CPC core values
- Performs other job duties as required to meet business needs.
- Comply with all Quality policies while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support the process of ISO, ASI, and other certifications deemed necessary by the business.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another related field.
- 2+ year of design and product development experience.

- CAD proficiency – PTC Creo (preferred), Solidworks, etc.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills required; must be able to communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge and grasp of rapid prototyping techniques and manufacturing methods.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach toward the definition of new products, complimented by an educated and realistic business outlook.
- Competent in the design and development of plastic components.
- Demonstrated history of design innovation.
- Knowledge of designing plastic components for injection molding.
- Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis.
- Machining experience & understanding.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Demonstrated history of translating customer needs into innovative new products.
- 2+ years’ experience in design of mass-produced plastic or machined products such as automotive, medical devices, toys, etc.
- Design experience with fluid handling components for industrial applications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, 13485, medical device, or medical device components a plus.
- Up to 5%, domestic and international.

- Pay Range: $84,000.00 – $112,000.00 / year
- This range is the pay scale for this role in Minnesota. Individual compensation is based on skills, experience, and qualifications related to this position.
