Product Development Engineer – EDS Design Release
About The Role
Kick-start your engineering career by contributing to the development of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) for the automotive industry. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to support the design, release and validation of wire harness systems while building the technical foundation needed to deliver innovative and reliable solutions for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Support the development and release of wire harness designs using CAD and PLM tools.
- Assist with routing, packaging and protection component selection for EDS products.
- Prepare engineering drawings, documentation and design releases.
- Support engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in prototype builds, product validation and vehicle launch activities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Quality and other cross-functional teams.
- Learn and apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), DFMEA and Design Verification Process (DVP) methodologies.
- Ensure designs meet customer and internal engineering requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
- Internship or academic project experience in product development is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of CATIA, NX, AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- English proficiency is required
- Onsite at office
- Must have reliable transportation from and to work
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally

- Ability to troubleshoot and rework wire harnesses in warehouse setting, during wire harness or vehicle builds, or after assembly on the vehicles.
- Ability to lift wire harness assemblies up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to climb inside of vehicles to troubleshoot and rework.
