Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Specialist
Pay Rate: $20/hour on W2 (Without Benefits)
Location: El Paso, TX 79912
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Onsite
Shift: 1st Shift to start; transitioning to 2nd Shift in January 2027

Are you a manufacturing professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and finding ways to make production safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective?
We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to support manufacturing engineering activities and help drive improvements across production operations. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
- Support manufacturing engineering initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Develop, maintain, and update manufacturing documentation, including:
- Work instructions
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Process flows
- Production layouts
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives designed to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Analyze production processes and equipment performance to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and waste reduction.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to quality and production issues.
- Assist with capacity planning, line balancing, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Help ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards.
- Track operational performance and support initiatives designed to meet manufacturing targets.
Key Skills We’re Looking For:
Lean Methodology – Intermediate
Ability to apply Lean principles to reduce waste, improve workflow efficiency, and support continuous improvement.
Manufacturing Design & Methodology – Intermediate
Experience supporting process development, tooling implementation, and manufacturing readiness.
Manufacturing Process Optimization – Intermediate
Ability to analyze production processes and identify ways to improve quality, productivity, and equipment utilization.
Productivity & Performance – Intermediate
Experience tracking operational metrics and supporting improvements to manufacturing performance.
Continuous Improvement – Developing
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and participate in Kaizen events and improvement projects.
Problem Solving – Developing
Ability to diagnose manufacturing issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
What Will Make You Successful?
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, production support, or an engineering technician environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP, MES, or manufacturing tracking systems is a plus.
