Senior MPLS-TP Design Specialist
Location: Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced MPLS-TP Network Design Specialist to support the design, integration, laboratory validation and testing of a specialized transport network environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review MPLS-TP HLD/LLD, network topology and physical/logical network designs.
- Design QoS, OAM, protection switching and synchronisation/timing solutions.
- Develop service mapping, port allocation schedules and interface definitions.
- Support VMR transport, V.28 and 4W E&M interface integration.
- Develop and review FOXMAN/UNEM NMS and geo-redundant NMS designs.
- Produce lab HLD/LLD, BOMs, rack layouts, cable schedules, configuration documents and test procedures.
- Support VMR validation and MPLS-TP lab testing, including audio paths, E&M signalling, alarms, recovery, latency and automatic changeover.
- Support FAT/FIT/SAT/SIT, including planning, execution, reporting, witnessing and issue resolution.
- Participate in design workshops, DDRs, HAZOPs, interface workshops and design reviews.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in MPLS-TP / telecommunications transport network engineering.
- Proven experience developing network HLD/LLD and detailed engineering documentation.
- Experience with OAM, QoS, protection switching and network synchronisation.
- Knowledge of VMR, E&M and telecommunications interfaces.
- Experience with FAT/FIT/SAT/SIT and laboratory integration/testing.
- Strong stakeholder communication and experience working through formal design review processes.
