Equipment Design Engineer

This position involves working within a multidisciplinary team to introduce and implement equipment for new model launches.

Using 3D CAD and simulation tools, the individual will identify key design change points, develop specifications, and drive projects from inception to final design and assembly.

They will focus on characteristic improvements aligned with business strategies and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to meet quality, cost, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop optimal machine concepts based on sound engineering principles.
• Provide technical support for equipment and processes, supporting project leadership.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and internal resources.
• Lead small/midsized projects from an engineering perspective.
• Conduct process studies to assess machine capabilities and communicate issues to designers.
• Create specifications, scope documents, and verification plans.
• Support installation and verification activities on-site.
• Maintain project schedules to ensure milestones are met.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and knowledge of automated equipment development.
• Strong technical communication skills (written and oral).

• Primarily office-based with some manufacturing floor support.
• Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
