Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems for mission critical facilities to not only include air cooling but also liquid to chip methods
- Perform calculations and analysis to ensure systems meet performance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
- Provide engineering and technical support to technicians, engineers and process control personnel in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of complex mechanical cooling systems such as chilled water, direct and indirect evaporative cooling, dx split systems, condenser water, glycol, dry coolers, adiabatic cooling, fluid coolers, etc.
- Knowledge of engineering code requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Proven experience in designing mechanical systems for mission critical environments (3-5 years)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office and other engineering tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Construction trade specific experience with increasing levels of responsibility and demonstrated abilities to direct the work of others.
- Highly prefer candidates with mission critical experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software
- AutoCAD
- Revit is a plus but not required
- PE License is preferred but not required
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate written or online documentation. Involves contact with other individuals. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Work is performed primarily indoors.
