YOUR ROLE
As a Converter Control Engineer, you'll design, simulate, and validate control systems for grid-connected power converters in wind turbines. You'll develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink to ensure grid code compliance and optimal turbine performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design control strategies for grid-connected converters
- Develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSCAD
- Perform time-domain and frequency-domain analysis
- Support field troubleshooting of converter issues
- Collaborate with electrical design, software, and grid compliance teams
- Contribute to grid code compliance assessments
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Power Electronics
- 3+ years in power converter industry, preferably in energy
- Knowledge of grid-connected converters control design
- Experience with power electronics control and three-phase converters
- Understanding of DQO, sequence, and phasor representations
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSCAD
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
