Founded in 1990, Garg employs over 100 professionals and delivers high-profile federal and state transportation projects across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support complex electrical engineering design efforts and support large-scale transportation and infrastructure programs.

Position Overview

The Electrical Engineer will support electrical engineering design, quality control, and project execution for multi-million-dollar transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus on facility electrical systems, lighting design, and facility power. This role includes full project lifecycle involvement - from concept design through construction support - and offers strong growth and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform facility power, lighting, and electrical system design
  • Prepare electrical scopes of work & cost proposals
  • Develop drawings, schematics, layouts & specifications
  • Perform system calculations, modeling & analysis
  • Support construction including review of submittals & RFIs
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies
  • Mentor junior engineers and present technical solutions to clients & leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience (5-8 years ideal)
  • Strong experience in:
    • Power distribution systems
    • Substations & switchgear
    • Facility power systems
    • Grounding, lighting & low-voltage systems
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE & UL codes
  • Software experience:
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit
    • OpenBuildingDesigner
    • OpenRoadDesigner
