Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Omagh. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in securing and delivering major electrical projects while contributing to the ongoing success of a well-established and growing business.

The Role

As Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Working closely with Contracts Managers, the Procurement Team, and senior stakeholders, you will ensure that all tenders are commercially competitive, technically compliant, and completed within required timescales.

You will play a vital role in identifying new opportunities, developing winning tender submissions, and supporting the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all estimating activities within the department.
• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates and tender submissions.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with Contracts Managers and Procurement teams to ensure effective project planning and delivery.
• Produce quantity take-offs and cost analyses using industry-standard estimating software.
• Present and review project designs using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Evaluate commercial and technical risks and maintain project risk registers.
• Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Provide technical support and input on methodologies, programmes, and bid strategies.
• Conduct site visits where required to assess project requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key industry contacts.
• Assist in the preparation of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or equivalent electrical qualification.
• Proven experience in an Electrical Estimator role.
• Experience using Trimble estimating and costing systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of competency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive, proactive attitude and strong team ethic.
