YOUR ROLE
- Define technical specifications, requirements, and engineering plans for electrical power distribution systems, UPS systems, batteries, cabling, and fibre optic infrastructure.
- Design, size, select, and integrate UPS systems, batteries, low-voltage distribution boards, protection devices, power conversion equipment, and power cabling.
- Perform electrical engineering calculations, including load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and equipment dimensioning.
- Design fibre optic network architectures, including topology, ring configuration, capacity planning, optical link budgets, and passive component selection.
- Ensure subsystem interfaces, design consistency, technical compliance, and fulfilment of customer and operational requirements.
- Manage technical requirements and optimise solutions considering performance, cost, schedule, and risk.
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements, design documents, single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, installation drawings, test procedures, O&M manuals, and training documentation.
- Provide technical expertise during internal and customer design reviews and support Operations & Maintenance definition.
- Support onsite installation and perform Testing & Commissioning activities, including FAT, field testing, and onsite commissioning.
- Support configuration management, deliver technical training, and capture Lessons Learned.
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the design and integration of electrical power distribution systems within industrial, transportation, railway, or infrastructure environments.
- Experience in sizing and selecting UPS systems, batteries, power conversion equipment, protection devices, low-voltage distribution boards, and power cables.
- Strong knowledge of electrical calculations, including load assessment, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, cable sizing, and equipment dimensioning.
- Experience preparing electrical engineering documentation, including single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and installation drawings.
- Experience in fibre optic network design, including topology definition, ring architectures, capacity planning, optical link budgets, and passive component selection.
- Knowledge of optical transmission principles, attenuation, network resilience, fibre optic cables, ODFs, patch panels, connectors, and splicing accessories.
- Experience with CAD design tools is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, communication, teamwork, and customer-oriented skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Portuguese and English and good command of Microsoft Office tools.
