YOUR ROLE
Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior Data Center Network Engineer to join a team responsible for the architecture, evolution, and transformation of large-scale data center infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve data center architectures based on Spine-Leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, and DCI.
- Develop and strengthen perimeter security solutions using next-generation firewalls, segmentation, micro-segmentation, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and load balancing.
- Create automation solutions for the provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of network equipment.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for network changes, featuring automated validation, pre-deployment testing, and rollback mechanisms.
- Develop observability and telemetry capabilities for monitoring and capacity planning.
- Participate in resolving complex incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
- Produce technical documentation and promote NetDevOps best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the adoption of new technologies.
- Strong experience with Spine-Leaf architecture
- VXLAN/EVPN
- BGP and OSPF
- vPC/MLAG
- Layer 2 protection and STP
- QoS and Multicast
- Data Center Interconnect (DCI)
- Multi-tenant environments
- NGFW Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, or Check Point)
- NAT, IPsec/SSL VPNs
- Segmentation and Micro-segmentation
- DMZ and Zero Trust
- IDS/IPS
- WAF and DDoS mitigation
- Load Balancers (F5 or equivalent)
- Minimum of 8 years in Network Engineering
- At least 5 years in large-scale Data Center environments
- Minimum of 3 years in production network automation projects
- Experience with Data Center transformation programs will be valued.
