Responsabilities
Responsibility 1: Product Design
- Activity 1.1 Conduct 3D modeling, design changes and create drawings using customer CAD system data banking standards.
- Activity 1.2 Acts as interface with suppliers, model shops and customer to ensure best possible design.
- Activity 1.3 Considers manufacturing and assembly concerns when designing.
- Activity 1.4 Attends meetings on design issues and update files and directories.
- Activity 1.5 Release drawings / math data to suppliers for the manufacture of tooling, prototypes, components and assembly aids associated with the program.
- Activity 1.6 Release drawings / math data to the customer per customer’s standards.
- Activity 1.7 Responsible to ensure design meets OPmobility Global Product Standards
- Activity 1.8 Responsible to ensure design meets OPmobility Global Product Standards
- Activity 2.1 Supports PAE for DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM and engineering timeline including action plans for issue resolution.
- Activity 2.2 Supports PAE for activities related to prototype parts
- Activity 2.3 Supports PAE to interface with other Development groups (Components, Materials, Process and Systems) to ensure the provision of the technologies required to support the program.
- Activity 2.4 Supports PAE for to make recommendations for product or test improvements to the program team to continuously drive towards lower cost and increased quality within the required timing.
- Engineering degree: Industrial Design preferable. Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial engineering as alternative.
- Must prove fluent English
- Experience in automotive industry preferable
- Travel might be required – less than 5% (Domestic and International)
- Microsoft Office tools
- Overall 3-5 years experience in similar position
- Experience in GD&T, BOM.
- Experience in product design required (Plastics blow molding, preferable)
- Experience in Catia - CAD program for automotive/manufacturing design is required (Solidworks, CREO, NX, preferable)
- Experienced in Safety Components or Fuel Systems components, preferable
- Experience in PLM programs (SAP, TeamCenter), preferable.
