Uptown Cheapskate is currently searching the market for salespeople as well as merchandise buyers in Austin and San Marcos. Do you have what it takes to join our elite team?

Uptown Cheapskate is a buy, sell, trade fashion store for young adults. We offer a change of pace from traditional fashion retail by adding the buying and recycling element into the usual retail setting. The pace is fast and the opportunities to learn and grow are numerous.

SALESPEOPLE are on the floor and behind the counter providing excellent customer services to our customers and processing all the great product we take in. We have full and part time available for people with an eye for fashion and excellent customer service skills.

SALES responsibilities will include:

• Waiting on customers on the sales floor, at the cash register and in the dressing rooms
• Processing product we take in to put on the sales floor or in back stock
• Participate in visual merchandising of store and overall appearance
• Housekeeping
• Full time and part time available

BUYERS work directly with our vendors (the public) to determine what product we take in. if you are upbeat, positive, love fashion, people, and learning and are looking for a career or something full time, we want to meet you! BUYER responsibilities will include:

• Participate in sorting, evaluating and buying gently used brand name clothing, accessories and shoes from customers
• Providing excellent customer service through brand and style knowledge
• Participate in visual merchandising of store and overall appearance
• Sales and customer service to shoppers

Required Attributes are:

• Must live, eat and breathe fashion!
• Stellar knowledge of young adult fashion and brands plus designer. Vintage a plus!
• Amazing organizational and multitasking abilities
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Energetic upbeat outlook
• Desire to have a career and grow with the company
