Senior Design Engineer

The client is a global AdTech SaaS company providing one of the world’s largest digital advertising platforms. The platform enables brands to manage, automate, and optimize campaigns at scale, integrating creative production, media execution, and performance analytics into a single ecosystem.

It manages nearly $5B in ad spend and supports 700+ global brands, including Walmart, FanDuel, L’Oréal, Warner Bros. Discovery, Nestlé, and Disney/ESPN. The platform empowers marketing teams to expand reach, drive creative excellence, and leverage data-driven insights across major digital channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Snap, Pinterest, TikTok, and Google.

What you will do

Product Design & Build

• Design and build product experiences end-to-end, moving from early concepts and prototypes to production-quality frontend implementation
• Prototype ambitious ideas in code, particularly AI-powered and highly interactive workflows where static designs don’t tell the whole story
• Build polished, responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces using React, TypeScript, and modern CSS

Discovery & Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Designers and Product Managers during discovery, turning ambiguous customer problems into clear product concepts and working software
• Work directly with customers and internal users when useful, to understand workflows, test ideas, and iterate based on what you learn
• Bring a high level of craft to interaction details, states, hierarchy, typography, responsiveness, motion, and the overall feel of the product

Design System & Engineering

• Evolve the Design System in both design and code, creating reusable components, patterns, and primitives that raise quality while enabling teams to move faster
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on architecture, APIs, performance, maintainability, and the path from experimental prototypes to scalable production software
• Explore how AI-assisted design and development tools can make the path from idea to production dramatically faster without lowering the quality bar

Craft & Culture

• Raise the level of design engineering by sharing patterns, tools, prototypes, and ways of working with designers and engineers across the organization

What you need for this

• Strong experience designing and shipping high-quality digital products, with examples of work you personally helped take from idea to production
• Excellent frontend engineering skills, particularly with React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong product, UX, visual, and interaction design judgment — you notice the details that make an interface feel clear, coherent, and polished
• Ability to work fluidly between Figma, prototypes, and a code editor, choosing the right medium for the problem rather than following a rigid handoff process
• Experience building production interfaces with attention to accessibility, responsiveness, browser behavior, performance, and maintainability
• Strong prototyping skills and the judgment to know when to explore quickly versus when to build for scale
• Comfort working through ambiguous product problems and collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to find the simplest valuable solution
• Experience using modern AI development tools to prototype and build software faster, while being able to review, understand, and improve the code they produce
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain both design and technical decisions clearly
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
• Experience with design systems, complex B2B products, creative tools, AI interfaces, MarTech, or AdTech
