Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Remote-Houston, TX)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Develop: Engineer mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications—hydraulic equipment, mobile lifting systems, and field-service machinery
• Optimize Performance: Enhance reliability and efficiency for high-pressure, high-load, and high-cycle environments
• Model and Draw: Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD, or SolidWorks
• Prototype and Validate: Test and refine equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards
• Troubleshoot and Improve: Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement in system performance
• Collaborate and Lead: Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment
• Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
