- In this role, you develop design documents in the field of automation and take responsibility for reviewing and approving documents with technical content
- You are responsible for the development and maintenance of the software of our biopharmaceutical systems in accordance with the ISA S88 design philosophy
- On a project basis, you support the integration of Sartorius automation platforms into higher-level systems such as DeltaV, PCS 7, etc., and develop project-specific automation concepts, software, and layouts based on this
- You work across disciplines with other departments and support projects in upstream, downstream, and freeze & thaw areas using various automation platforms
- During the concept and proposal phase of a project, you provide technical consulting to our customers on site and identify customer-specific requirements (User Requirements Specification)
- You are responsible for creating and maintaining system documentation and user manuals
- In addition, you perform functional tests, approve the programmed software (Software Factory Acceptance Test), and support Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
- A successfully completed technical degree in automation engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
- Several years of professional experience in programming automation solutions, as well as solid knowledge of programmable logic controllers, DeltaV, or comparable tools
- This is complemented by knowledge of network communication (Ethernet TCP/UDP) and experience with fieldbus systems such as Profinet, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, etc.
- Experience in high-level programming languages is desirable
- Initial experience with biopharmaceutical processes in upstream or downstream is an advantage
- Initial experience in leading technical projects is a plus
- A structured way of working, very good organizational skills, strong communication skills, and team spirit distinguish you
- Fluent German and English skills as well as a willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 15%) complete your profile
