Embedded FPGA Engineer – Dresden, Germany

We are currently seeking an experienced Embedded FPGA Engineer to join a technically focused engineering team based in Dresden, Germany.

Role: Embedded FPGA Engineer

Location: Dresden, Germany

Salary: Up to €90,000

Language: German at B2 level or above

Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work on projects subject to applicable security and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement FPGA-based solutions for embedded systems.
• Develop and optimise VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog code for FPGA platforms.
• Work closely with hardware and embedded software engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop, simulate and verify FPGA designs against technical requirements.
• Perform FPGA testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to architecture and design decisions for embedded hardware systems.
• Integrate FPGA designs with microprocessors, peripherals and other hardware components.
• Optimise designs for performance, resource utilisation and power consumption.
• Support board bring-up, hardware integration and system-level testing.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and design specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of FPGA development processes and methodologies.

About You

We are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer with strong commercial experience in FPGA development and embedded hardware systems.

You should have experience with VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog, alongside a good understanding of digital design, FPGA architecture and verification methodologies.

Experience with FPGA development tools and simulation environments would be highly advantageous.

B2 German language skills are required.
