Controls Engineer

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Functional Experience

• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical blueprints, process analysis, and drafting terminology.
• Working knowledge of machine shop operations and manufacturing processes.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Proficiency with presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Industry Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in control system design and programming.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, electrical controls, and industrial automation systems.

• Experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and control panel building.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
