Role Overview
Analog Devices is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our SSS team in Istanbul. In this role, you will lead and contribute to the mechanical design, integration, and validation of advanced electronic systems and platforms. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with electrical, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust, scalable, and manufacturable solutions.
This position requires a strong combination of mechanical design expertise, systems thinking, and leadership to drive complex projects from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and development of electronic systems, enclosures, and assemblies supporting SSS solutions
- Drive product development from concept, prototyping, validation, and production release
- Perform thermal analysis, structural simulations, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure product reliability and performance
- Collaborate closely with electrical engineering, PCB design, and systems teams to optimize integration
- Define and execute mechanical validation plans, including environmental and reliability testing
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost optimization
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and best practices
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for field or production issues
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Significant experience in mechanical design (typically 8+ years for staff level)
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and thermal management
- Experience with electronic packaging, enclosures, or precision mechanical systems
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis, GD&T, and design for reliability
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Good communication skills in English
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or embedded systems industries
- Familiarity with Structural, Thermal and Fluids simulation tools (FEA, CFD, Ansys Workbench, Fluent, Icepak)
- Experience with environmental and compliance standards
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing techniques
- Project leadership experience or technical ownership of complex systems
