Role Description The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Engineer role at Casyoo is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. This role involves designing and developing PCB layouts for LED lighting products, including component placement, routing, and optimization for performance, manufacturability, and cost. The PCB Design Engineer collaborates closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to review requirements, perform schematic capture, run design checks, and prepare documentation for production. Daily responsibilities include analyzing circuit performance, addressing analog and RF considerations, conducting design validations and testing, and resolving design-related issues throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer also supports continuous improvement by updating design standards, evaluating new components and technologies, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong circuit design skills, including experience with PCB design tools and schematic capture, Circuit Design, and Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of analog circuits and signal integrity, with hands-on experience in Analog design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in PCB board layout, including component placement, trace routing, and design for manufacturability, Board Layout.
  • Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) design principles, including layout considerations for RF performance and EMC/EMI, Radio Frequency (RF).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience in LED lighting, power electronics, or similar hardware product development is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS) and design validation processes.
  • Ability to interpret datasheets and specifications, use test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters), and troubleshoot hardware issues.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
