Charging Infrastructure Engineer – AC/DC / Fast Charging / HV DC

Location: Bavaria, Germany

Employment: Permanent / Full-time


We are looking for an experienced Charging Infrastructure Engineer to join a technically advanced engineering team developing next-generation charging solutions and high-power energy conversion systems.


This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with experience in AC/DC power conversion, fast-charging systems, high-voltage DC and SiC power semiconductors to contribute to the development of efficient, reliable and high-performance charging infrastructure.


The Role

As a Charging Infrastructure Engineer, you will be involved in the design, development, integration and validation of advanced charging and power conversion systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems
  • Working on high-power and fast-charging systems
  • Developing and optimising HV DC power architectures
  • Applying SiC power semiconductor technology to high-efficiency charging applications
  • Supporting the development of high-power rectifiers, converters and inverter stages
  • Performing electrical, thermal and system-level analysis and simulations
  • Supporting the development and optimisation of converter control strategies
  • Developing test plans and supporting prototype testing and system validation
  • Investigating efficiency, switching behaviour, thermal performance, reliability and power quality
  • Supporting integration with the grid, energy storage systems and vehicle charging interfaces
  • Working closely with hardware, software, controls, systems and mechanical engineering teams
  • Supporting technical documentation, design reviews and product qualification


You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems or a related discipline
  • Professional experience in power electronics or charging infrastructure
  • Experience with AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters and/or high-power charging systems
  • Experience with HV DC systems and high-voltage power conversion
  • Strong knowledge of SiC power semiconductor technology
  • Understanding of converter topologies, switching technologies and power factor correction
  • Experience with control systems and power conversion algorithms
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice or similar
  • Practical experience with laboratory testing, commissioning and validation
  • Knowledge of grid connection, EMC/EMI and power quality is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on and solution-oriented approach
  • Native-level German language skills are essential
  • Good working proficiency in English
