Structural Bridge Engineer

We are looking for an experienced structural engineer that is interested in developing their skills designing and detailing bridges and other infrastructure projects throughout multiple states in the Midwest. Responsibilities Include
- Complete the design calculations and plan preparation for bridge replacement and rehabilitation, retaining walls, culverts, and other ancillary transportation structures projects in alignment with applicable design standards and specifications.
- Perform in person site visits and inspections of transportation structures and prepare and submit required reports.
- Complete concept development and perform sizing of proposed structures.
- Complete quantity computations, cost estimates, and specifications required for structures projects.
- Complete load ratings for transportation structures.
- Complete hydraulic design and scour analysis for new and existing transportation structures.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 4-8 years of bridge design experience including structural design of local, highway, and interchange bridges and ancillary structures
- Indiana PE license, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Prior project experience with INDOT and Indiana counties
- Proficient in AASHTO LRFD design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other ancillary transportation structures
- Knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD and specialized bridge design software (HEC-RAS, AASHTOWare BrR, CANDE, MathCAD, Midas)
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
