- With limited supervision to work on relatively complex project independently to deliver qualified results:
- Clarify requirement with product manager or customer.
- Develop concepts.
- Apply mechanical engineering principles to design products/components and create drawings.
- Verify the design by calculations and simulations.
- Solve technical problems.
- Coach, review work to lower-level professionals.
- Collaborate with other functions or providing supports.
- Review/analyze whether current products and processes comply with industry standards such as ISO 13485, corporate regulations, and standards, and so on.
- Perform detailed project planning and documentation of each product development phase.
- Participate in design reviews that include ME, EE and SW engineers and ensure high quality design reviews with excellent documentation
- Build and test prototype designs for proof of concept
- Demonstrated strong documentation and organization skills
- Other tasks assigned
Bachelor or above degree in mechanical engineering or related with automation/ life science industry experience
Engineering principles including pneumatic, statics, dynamics and fluid mechanics
Designing for manufacturing process including die-casting, machining, stamping and injection molding
Mechanical design calculations like: bolts, seals, spring, flow rate…
2D drafting and 3D CAD modeling with CREO CAD software or similar tools in Windchill environment
Good at verbal and written English
Problem solving, time management
Several years of professional experience in Life Science environment, with proven track record of launching complex automation projects involving multinational/multicultural R&D teams
Extensive knowledge of key tools used for analysis, testing and development for components used in In-vitro Diagnosis, Total Lab Automation and Consumables production line.
Knowledge of process development activities such as qualification, validation, design of experiments, FMEA and design for manufacturing
Extensive knowledge of Technology concepts, technical standards, and methodologies in the life science sector
Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO/ FDA).
General office and PC skills
Basic SAP knowledge
Basic understanding on ISO 13485
