Our Team
You will join a collaborative Product Development team focused on automotive connector innovation. The team partners with customers, manufacturing, quality, and validation teams to develop solutions that meet demanding technical and performance requirements.
What You Will Do
- Lead product design activities for automotive connector programs from customer concept through production release.
- Interpret customer requirements, specifications, drawings, and models to develop effective design solutions.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and engineering reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers regarding design feasibility and validation plans.
- Perform design verification activities including tolerance analysis, FEA, prototype evaluation, and patent investigations.
- Release approved drawings and models for tooling and manufacturing development.
- Support product validation, documentation release, and engineering change activities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers and internal engineering teams as needed.
- Investigate and resolve design-related product issues while supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in product design and development within the automotive connector industry or related sectors.
- Understanding of automotive connector technologies, industry standards, and OEM requirements.
- Experience using CAD software for product modeling and drafting.
- Knowledge of connector materials, manufacturing processes, and design verification methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Experience working directly with customers on technical design requirements.
- Knowledge of DFMEA, 8D problem solving, FEA, and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with NX (UG) CAD software.
- Strong automotive connector design and manufacturing expertise.
