As an EIT in RICK’s Land Development department, you will work with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the Las Vegas, Nevada region. Key Responsibilities

  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design and prepare construction documents, including grading and drainage, utility, and roadway plans.
  • Perform stormwater calculations and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and assist in designing site retention, storm drainage systems, and conveyance channels. Research local codes and prepare technical drainage reports.
  • Assist in the design of public and private water and sewer systems, including layouts, and prepare sewer capacity analysis and WaterCAD models. Research state and local codes and prepare the technical basis of design reports.
  • Maintain quality control checklists to ensure plans and reports adhere to RICK CAD Standards and Quality Control Manuals.
  • Work toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure by gaining qualifying experience. Take advantage of training opportunities and mentorship from senior engineers and company leadership.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Successful pass of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation or the ability to obtain it within six months
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Desire to learn about land development and advance in career growth
