To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Product Engineer Shift 2 located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
Reporting to the Project Manager the Product Engineer Shift 2 is responsible for receiving, analyze, clean, and customize all technical information/documentation from the customer related to his product, derived from a New Product Introduction (NPI) or a design change in order to establish all necessary processes to manufacture it by maintaining its design and performance integrity.
What a typical day looks like:
- Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
- Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues – engineering changes, new model development.
- Customer´s Bill of Material (BOM) analysis and structure definition for production.
- Participate to cost reduction activities in areas like material, inventory, and scrap reduction.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM), tolerance analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE), form-fit-function to determine failure root/cause analysis and reporting to customer.
- Analyze and determine course of action of Product Change Notification (PCN) and Manufacturing Change Order (MCO).
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in similar position in electronic manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge with implementation engineering changes.
- Leadership in NPI implementation.
- Experience with agile.
- Lead the implementation of ECOS.
- Fluent English.
- Knowledge in MRP (Baan, Flex flow) is also a plus.
- Availability to work 2nd and 3rd shift.
